This product does exactly what it advertises. I am able to comfortably sit under my dryer for long periods of time with the heat shield on.

The only thing I regret about this purchase is that I didn't buy it sooner. I have thick long hair that takes about 1.25 hours for a roller set to dry. My forehead and ears are usually medium well by the time my hair is dry. This heat shield protects my forehead and ears from the scorching heat of the hairdryer. It works so well I can't believe my hair is dry. I love it. It's so precious to me.
